Blackberry JDE v4.7.0

Hello All,

I know that there are some prerequisites when installing the Blackberry JDE 4.7.0.

Microsoft® Vista™, Windows® 2000, or Windows XP
•Intel® Pentium® III processor or compatible (800 MHz or higher)
•512 MB RAM
•100 MB free hard disk space
•Java® SE Development Kit (JDK) Version 6 (download from the Sun Microsystems web site). The <bin> directory of the Java SDK must be part of the system's PATH environment variable.
•DirectX 8.0 or greater (for the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator)

But when i create a Java App, what version of Java ME is the JDE using to compile the stuff in?

Thank you

BlackBerry handhelds support the MIDP 2.0 and CLCD 1.1 J2ME specifications.

The BlackBerry JDE uses the JDK installed on your PC to build your .java files into .class files and create a jar.  The .jar file is then built into a .cod file by the rapc compiler included with the BlackBerry JDE.
