Blackberry - SQL Anywhere(UltraLiteJ) problems

Hi I am new at Blackberry programming and was trying the UltraLiteJ tutorial at http://www.sybase.com/files/Technica...J_Tutorial.pdf. When i get to lesson 2.3 Creating and UltraLiteJ database and i run it on the blackberry simulator i get the error "UltraLiteJ Error [-974]: File I/O Failed for 'HelloDB". I am using the Blackberry JDE, eclipse, SQL Anywhere developer edition 11 and have MDS installed.

I'm told it may be a permissions issue but i dont know how to go about checking

All help is greatly appreciated

Re: Blackberry - SQL Anywhere(UltraLiteJ) problems

I cannot reproduce the issue on my machine but, oddly, I heard about the same issue with someone else for the first time last week. The issue seems to happen in the tutorial routine that connects to the database or, if it does not exist, creates and connects to the database. Looking at the code as posted at http://dcx.sybase.com/index.html#1101en/ulj_en11/uj-tutorial-s-3981132.html, could you rerun it, step through the code, and tell me which line you see the issue at?

On first running, the attempt to connect should throw an exception, but then the database should get created in the catch.

Also, it would help if you could tell me what version and build number of the software you are using (run dbsrv11 -v and it will tell you).
