Re: Blocking Blackberry Mobile Screen programatically

Just to confirm, you will have a Bluetooth connection to this BlackBerry, and that Blackberry will be running your code on it responding to the 'commands' sent over Bluetooth?

Hi Peter strange,,

There will be 2 device

device 1

device 2

both are paired using bluetooth .  when device 1 send a command to lock the screen of device 2 , the device 2 screen will be locked

Re: Blocking Blackberry Mobile Screen programatically

could use something similar to get social security numbers LOL.

I think Peter's question has to do with relationships here. Presumably your

code is running on both sides in a friendly interaction with each user and the

real issue is how to get your code to do something like blank the screen.

If you just want to know how to issue commands over bluetooth with

no user opt-in that could create a huge security problem.

"If you just want to know how to issue commands over Bluetooth with

Agreed, I had hoped that was not what was being asked.

"the real issue is how to get your code to do something like blank the screen"

Agreed, and this can be coded and tested separately from the Bluetooth communication.

I would start by checking out

ApplicationManager.getAppllcationManager().lockSystem(true);
