Re: Bluetooth application development

Thank you for the replies.

I have removed the while loop after seeing

an inquiry completed event.

The next problem I am facing is that my

app won't connnect to the obex server unless

other bluetooth devices are not discoverable

or disabled. The app will list the service name

of the server when other devices are not

discoverable; otherwise, the app is not able

to do a service discovery of the server.

What could be the cause of this?

Re: Bluetooth application development

Good question.  Since this Thread has been marked as Solved, I suggest you start a new Thread with that question.  Sorry I have no idea.

Re: Bluetooth application development

Okay, so the document says that 4.2+ supports

Object Push Profile. Does that also means that

Object Pull is also supported implicitly?

Re: Bluetooth application development

Hello Mark

I have got the Casira Kit and I am trying to use it with the bluetooth simulator. I have downloaded the generic simulator for Blackberry 8310 and I am using "fledge.exe /handheld=8310 /bluetooth-port=1 /app=jvm.dll" at the command line to run the simulator.

I have attached the Casira Kit to COM1 and running it in HCI mode. I have tested this against IVT Bluesoliel and it can run the CASIRA as a UART HCI Dongle.

For some reason I am unable to enabled the bluetooth on the simulator. Could you tell me the settings on the Casira Kit that may not be correct. My settings are

1. Host Interface - UART link running H4

2. HCI Traffic Routed internally - 0x0000 (HCI mode)

3. UART Baudrate - 38.4k

4. UART settings in H4 mode 0x08a8.

I am not sure what is going wrong.

Alternative could you point me to some article where I can use actual blackberry device to debug my application.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Sumeet Verma
