After adding AxLoader to my page, I can successfully download and install the helloworld sample application that ships with the web loader. I'm using the web page template from the BlackBerry Application Web Loader Developer Guide.
After I change the loadFiles() function to reference my own .jad file instead of helloworld.jad, all download attempts fail with the message "InternetOpenUrl returned status code 404". The .jad file and .cod file are both in the same folder as the web page.
My application is significantly bigger than helloworld, of course. The .jad file is 1.58 Kb, and the .cod file is 446 Kb. When I inspect the contents of the .jad file, I see that there are 8 component .cod files (I see RIM-COD-URL-1 through RIM-COD-URL-8).
Am I running up against a size limit? Any other thoughts?

I experience the same roblem. The helloworld works fine, but when I change to my own files I get this error message. My application is not very big (79 kB).
Is there something wrong in the way the files are compiled or build? I am happy for any hint on this frustrating error.

sounds like a bug to me. as a workaround, you can try to unzip the cod (cod-files larger than 64kb are actually zip files) manually and place all sub-cods into the folder instead. at least that helps with some OTA problems, maybe it helps here, too.

I analyzed the jad file and have among others these entries:
Both these files are included in the MyApp.cod file (Checked after renaming it to .zip and opening).
My application is signed and maybe that could be part of the problem?

OK, I solved it:
Remamed the original .cod file to .zip. Opened it and extracted both the .cod files from there and put both of them on the server next to the .cab file.

I cannot do it too.
In Sample project I can download to my BB device but I try my application by change something like this:
