Cell Towers Location

I'm trying to locate my devide trought Cell towers. I got the CellId, Location Area Code, Mobile Country Code and so on with GPRSInfo.getCellInfo()...  But now, once I have all this information i would like to know how to really locate it. Could you provide me some kind of resources or idea of how to locate my device based on them?

Re: Cell Towers Location

you have to look up the information in a database. google has one and for example poynt is using another third party supplier.

here is information about poynt:

here is a two years old android code to access googles db, no clue if it is still working, i somehow doubt it:

Re: Cell Towers Location

google maps uses it, therefore it exists.

Re: Cell Towers Location

you can try http://www.opencellid.org/ it has public API, and it works, not as accurate as google maps, but better then nothing.
