Hey guys, is there a way to clear the app from the downloads panel on the BlackBerry once its loaded? Such that a user won't be able to tamper with or delete the app from the handset. Would hiding the App Icon solve this issue? I just want to prevent 3rd party users from deleting my app. I know that when an App is installed or pushed from the BES it could only be deleted Via the BES. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think this question has been asked before. Have a search round.
But I am not aware of a way to programatically hide your apps icon, nor am I aware of a way for preventing user from deleting your application unless the application is installed via BES.
Even if you hide the icon, the users can still find your app by going through the standard Options.

Thanks Peter. Yes it won't be an issue if its installed Via the BES. If they find it through the standard options its fine by me. I just don't want the app displayed in the downloads Panel. I totally understand its RIM's default implementation of the its OS but would really glad if it could be cleared off the downloads thing.

Thanks Simon yes I totally understand. I was just trying to take the app off the downloads panel. I'm hiding the app Icon. So if a user finds it by digging into the options, etc. is OK with me.
