Compiling of BB Project programmed in 4.3 for 4.2

I'm developing Blackberry Java Applications with the new Eclipse JDE Plugin, Version using the earliest component package included in the Plugin, version

Is it possible to compile the Application so that it would run successfully on a Blackberry running the Operating System Version 4.2 or even earlier?

If yes, how?

Thank you for your time.

Re: Compiling of BB Project programmed in 4.3 for 4.2

open the appropriate jde and add the source files. build the project. if there are any classes used that are not available the compiler will show error messages. change the rejected code until it compiles.
most of the important classes exist in 4.2.1 and i think it is used as a de-facto standard, even with 4.5 being available for most devices.

Re: Compiling of BB Project programmed in 4.3 for 4.2

there is a simple rule: JDE version has to be less or equal to the Blackberry OS version.
