Control icon location of applications

Hi All,

When we install applications, the application icon is created in Downloads for Storm and Home Screen for Pearl (Haven't tried other handsets). If the application icon is in other location than the Home Screen. We have a move option and we can move the icon to Home Screen.

While we build our application, can we control this thing (Where the application icon would be created). So that we dont have to use manual move option. Application always gets icon in Home Screen.

Please help me understand the installation control in BB.

Thanks,

Sandeep

Re: Control icon location of applications

Hi Simon,

I am sorry but didnt get your point. Do you mean to say its defined by the Handset? As for pearl its in Home Screen and Storm its in Downloads.

So we don't have any way to progmmatically define the Icon location.

Thanks and regards,

Sandeep
