Controlling ListField rowHeight

I have a ListField that I use to show an event log.

On most devices the rowHeight is about the size of the font height - which is good. However, on the 9800 simulator the rowHeight is about 3 times the font height - it takes up too much screen space.

How do I force the row height to match the font height on all devices?

Thanks
