Deploying problems to a curve

Hi All

Developed an app in Java that works fine on a nokia trying to port it across toa blackberry and test on a curve.

I'm mainly using netbeans with the rim plugin dor writing it and jde5 to build the jar and jads. Here is a copy of the jad file..

Manifest-Version: 1.0
RIM-COD-Module-Name: QuoteBuilder
RIM-COD-Module-Dependencies: net_rim_cldc,netbeans_midp_components_basic
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 50593
MIDlet-1: QuoteBuilder,,main.QuoteBuilder
RIM-COD-Creation-Time: 1326015950
MIDlet-Jar-URL: QuoteBuilder.jar
RIM-COD-URL: QuoteBuilder.cod
RIM-COD-SHA1: 90 00 49 a8 e1 81 40 c1 ef 02 3e 36 f3 66 4d aa 4f ee bf 12
RIM-COD-Size: 49296
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.1
MIDlet-Version: 1.0
MIDlet-Name: QuoteBuilder
MIDlet-Vendor: Ad2apps
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0
RIM-MIDlet-Flags-1: 0

I get error messages on the device ( ok in emulator) saying invalid midlet version number or invalid midlet 1 . In the jde5 whuch is the best option to build as a blackberry application or a midlet. If I do the first one I get the errors above . If I do the 2nd one I get an error reference to a completely different midlet not in the jar or jad!. Any help would be grateful. thanks ad2apps

Re: Deploying problems to a curve

If your application extends Application or UiApplication, set your project as a BlackBerry Application.  If it extends MIDlet, set the project type to MIDlet.

It sounds like you have a MIDlet application.  What is the exact error you get when choosing MIDlet?

Re: Deploying problems to a curve

Hi thanks

I think I've fixed it now the proprties file ..

Where it said name it had put a previous project name in that and when it built the project the jad referenced this other project! .. This was using the blackberry plugin for netbeans 7!
