Determine the carrier from within Java?

Is there any way to determine which carrier a device is using after starting up a Java ME app.  I am not using any of the proprietary RIM libraries, just standard MIDP 2.0 yielding a jar/jad file, and downloaded from our server off-deck.  No signing, no certificates, just vanilla MIDP 2.0.

Thank you,

You can get this from the RadioInfo class, however this is a BlackBerry specific API.

I would point out, if you really get stuck, you can ask your server to look up your IP address

and give you back the domain name. This is a bit of a kluge but presumably would be more

portable and may even integrate with other stuff you are doing ( let's say you wanted carrier

specific artwork to download).
