Device.getDeviceId()

net.rim.device.api.system.DeviceInfo;

Does your program need to be signed to get access to this class, it appears that you do not, but it is blackberry so who knows.

What exception or error are you seeing?

Re: Device.getDeviceId()

module could not open API.

I think I have sorted this problem, because I was using other classes that needed the app to be signed but I am trying to find out if device.getDeviceId(), requires it also.

Re: Device.getDeviceId()

It shows you in the javadocs. If there is a lock next to the method then it needs to be signed to use. The device class requires signing.

Re: Device.getDeviceId()

Sorry My Mistake it is DeviceInfo.getDeviceId()

The api suggests it does not, but I wanted assurance cause well you know, not everything is as seems.
