Display PME animations on a scrollable screen

by Retired ‎02-16-2010 12:56 PM - edited ‎09-16-2010 02:46 PM (1,430 Views)

Summary

This article applies to the following:

  • Plazmic® Composer included with Plazmic® Content Developer’s Kit 4.6 and later
  • BlackBerry® Java® Applications
  • BlackBerry® MDS Runtime Applications

Details

You can create Plazmic Media Engine (PME) animations in applications that are created using Plazmic Composer, but the screen must be set to non-scrollable. However, you may need to display an animation on a screen that can scroll, such as the BlackBerry MDS Runtime Application screen.

To display a PME animation on a scrollable screen, complete the following steps:

  1. Once an animation has been created using Plazmic Composer, begin the export process by selecting File > Export > PME.
  2. In the Export to PME window, clear the Dimensions in % option.
  3. Continue to export the animation.

This will create a statically sized animation that can be displayed in screens with or without scrolling enabled.
