Display application shortcut in HomeScreen

Hi,

 

can anyone help me creating an application shorcut to run the application from the home screen of the blackberry. i have to create this shortcut through code.

Pls help me out in this

there is no way to alter shortcuts on the homescreen. as a workaround i use the convinience keys, you can not alter them programatically though so your users have to do it themselves.

Was just about to ask the same question so thank you. Shame there is no way to do this as in 4.6 everthing gets dumped in th downloads folder.

This is possible.  But please note that a user must disable "dial from home screen" to enable the built in and third party application shortcuts.  This is done by opening the Phone application, selecting Options from the menu, General Options and setting Dial From Home Screen to no.

Note that you can not use a key already defined by an existing BlackBerry application.
