i am creating an application in storm
the whole app runs in portrait mode,coz i have set up the acceptable directions
but i want to display an image in landscape mode.how can i do that??
i have to keep my app in portrait mode(required) but only 1 image on a screen in landscape mode.
that screen contains only the image nothing else.

Sorry don't understand this question. Please explain again. How will the user be holding the device when you display the background in landscape mode?
There is code in this forum that will rotate bitmaps, if that helps.

actually what i want to do is on my first screen i have a thumbnail image,when user clicks on or touches it then he is redirected to the next screen.here i have to show the enlarged image in landscape mode

Is it possible that an app in potrait mode displays a scren with an image in landscape mode? once user quits this screen and back to the potrait mode?

I don't think this application will swap portrait to landscape,
I think he is just trying to display the image rotated 90%, so that the image can use the full height as the width of the image. Then the user will rotate his Blackberry (which the application will ignore, since it is set up in portrait mode only) and see the picture with the correct orientation.
Can the original poster confirm this is what they are expecting to do?
