To add on to MSohm (and because I think me and simon get what you are trying to get to), the location of the icon is the only thing you can control (if on 5.0 and up), before 5.0 you can't control the icon. The application (the actual COD files) are not accessible, so you can't get the path to them.

Right.  There is no "path" to a COD file.  They are not stored in a traditional file system.

 

You can specify folders where your icon appears on the home screen (in 5.0+).
