"When we launched CrackBerry.com 10 years ago, we set out to make it a fun and useful destination where BlackBerry Smartphone owners could share their excitement and learn to unleash the full potential of their BlackBerry. A decade later, the CrackBerry community is as active and passionate as ever and I know our knowledgeable members and volunteers will be excited to welcome and assist more BlackBerry owners with their questions."
After spending a lot of time tracking down an EOFException when making an Http Request I found out that I was actually sending a request to the server that was being blocked by their firewall. In my specific case it was because the server was configured to block if I didn't have the correct user-agent header. It wasn't a BlackBerry HttpConnection problem at all. Hope this helps anyone else who runs into this problem and thinks it is a code problem.
