Error Starting ProjectName: Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.ScrollView' not found while downloading from APP WORLD

Hello All,

I have used the Eclipse BB plugin to develop one Blackberry project and complied it agianst JRE 7.1.0.
Now when I am installing it from BB App world on device of BB OS 5.0 , it is showing "Class 'net.rim.device.api.ui.ScrollView' not found".

Please suggest how to resolve it.

Thanks in advance.

welcome to the support forums.

you have to compile against JRE 5.0 or lower to run it on a OS 5 device.
That means you may have to adjust your code. ScrollView is only available since 6.0

You have also posted in the bb10 board, i'll ask a mod to move your post.

In Eclipse choose "Help", choose "Install new software".
In "work with" choose the bb update site (http://www.blackberry.com/developers/jar/win/java)
Open the BlackBerry Java Plug-in Category.
Select the SDK versions you want to install and click "Finish".

Or go to developer.blackberry.com and read the guide there.

please follow the step by step instructions i gave you.
the link is for the update site, its meant to be used from inside eclipse, NOT with the browser.
