I found this post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Develo
How do you view the log on a BlackBerry Stor running OS 5.0?
Solved! Go to Solution.

There is no "Show Keyboard" option. That is how I did it before OS 5.0 but in 5.0 that doesn't exist.

In 5.0, set one of the convience keys to Virtual Keyboard. Use this to bring up the virtual keyboard on the home screen and then use the same ALT-LGLG key sequence.
I'll update the other thread with this information as well.
Edit: Corrected steps.

I don't know why it is not showing up but the only thing I can see of MSohm's post is "In 5.0 hold down the"
I hope this post will make MSohm's post visible but in the meantime I looked this post up on my BlackBerry Storm 1 and it doesn't work for me, it opens up the "Help Me!" screen that gives me some device information but no option to view the EventLog.

Brings up the help screen.. however, i'm looking for a list of those commands, since i'm unable to press more than 2 keys at the same time on a virtual keyboard, such as ALT + LGLG.. can you refear me to a reference about all these sequences?

Sorry, my steps above weren't valid. I've updated my post with the correct ones.
For some reason my original post was cut off if you viewed it in IE. The edited copy seems OK though.

Thank you, I can see the whole post now. I don't know why IE cut it off but it's fixed so it doesn't matter.
I must be doing something wrong, I set the left convenience key to bring up the virtual keyboard. It only opens when either in an app or when the background is visible behind the Home Screen. It won't appear if the device is in landscape or if I click the Home Screen (so only icons are visible) and try to bring up the keyboard.
I tried the combo and any other's I can think of and none are working. As stated before if I turn the device the keyboard won't show up so I can't use it then.
