Extending the address book list

Hi all,

I'm looking to extend the contacts screens on a Blackberry for use with a line of business application.

I can see how to add extra fields and use the linkedcontact API's the final missing part of the puzzle is how I add extra controls in to the actual contacts list. (Much like the Facebook App does)

Any tips on the classes I need to use here or a snippet would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Re: Extending the address book list

I'm not aware of any way to add controls to the RIM apps.

If the existing Contacts applicaiton doesn't suit your needs, you'll probably have to create your own contacts UI.

Re: Extending the address book list

Thats interesting perhaps control is the wrong description.

The facebook integration (v1.6) adds company names / locations to the contacts list, this is shown as a grey text underneath the contacts name. This is what i'd like to replicate but from another data source.

I can see how to extend the contacts card, this seems pretty straightforward, but the grey text added into the Contacts list has me foxed.

Any ideas greatly recieved!
