So now everyone has to go in and update their code and re-release their apps?
This will just happen again until there is an official facebook api for blackberry.
Android has one. iPhone has one, what's the problem RIM?
I appreciate the effort the developer put into this api and donating the source but c'mon.
Facebook is too important now for a cludge that's going to break everytime facebook changes something.

There seems to be a problem with this API when more than one 3rd party app is using it.
A customer reported that our app is crashing with this error:
Class 'blackberry.facebook.application.settings' multiply defined.
I assume it's a problem with the BB class loader.
I don't mean to hijack the thread but has anyone else seen this one yet?

this is a problem with the SDK if you do not modify it, yes. a persistant object with the same name and package name may only exist in one application.
Another reason for an official API.
Give us the tools we need to compete with with the other platforms.
Release official APIs for FaceBook, Twitter, BBM, and XXX (the next big thing) that will actually work for more than a few months.

I have marked your post as the solution (for now because we all know one day this will probably break again). But thank you very much for finding a solution!! Kudos to you!

I already did the change in class and even I have the same problem.

Hmmm...the first time I tried the fix I got an "Invalid Migration" error.
After that I was able to post to the wall - once.
Now I just get a blank white screen and the app froze.
What a bunch of **bleep**.
