Force DateField to 24h time format?

Is there any way to force a DateField to use 24h time format, regardless of the options settings for the blackberry? Alternatively, is there a way to programatically set the device option to use 24h time as the default?

Thx

Re: Force DateField to 24h time format?

you can create your datefield with a dateformat parameter, it takes care of the displaying. for further control you can use simpledateformat (if the predefined dateformat constants are not enough).
