I want to do a native Blackberry game, e.g. extend UIApplication, as from the internetz I am under the impression the performance will be better than just a midlet. I am not porting the game anywhere so not bothered by the portability aspect.
I have been following some of the documentation that Blackberry provide. However I can't seem to figure out how I would use the Animation API (SDK 6+) to animate my game sprites, akin to the Sprite.nextFrame from the J2ME world.
Is this possible with the Animation API? Or is that something different all together? Do I have to build my own frame animator for my sprites?
I am using
