Get handle of theme BB dimension today for HomeScreen
Posted: Jul 30, 2008 12:41 AM
i want to modify the existing theme of blackberry named "BB Dimension Today" i.e, i want to add some sections to the existing sections and i want to add new icon with sections.

For suppose, messages icon was displyaed in BB Dimension today theme and few messages are displayed under it. How to get handle of that messages section. How to add new section named suppose SampleMail in that homescreen section.

Please help me in this aspect.

Themes can be customized using the Plazmic CDK, which you can download here:  http://www.plazmic.com/en/download/index.shtml

However, you are not able to customize the area you describe.

In BlackBerry handheld software version 4.6.0 applications are now able to create custom messages in the Messages application.  For more information please see the JavaDocs for the net.rim.blackberry.api.messagelist package included in the beta release of the version 4.6.0 BlackBerry JDE found here:  http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/devbeta.jsp#tab_tab_jde
