Getting input from user received from a Pop-up dialog

Helloo....again.haha. I am very new to coding

I'm in another tiffy of a problem. I am creating; how you say a dialog box. The box presents a number of questions( so maybe we could call it a form).

For example I'm making a table creator.

So for example, I will ask the user how many columns they want to enter; and they'll enter it in either an editfield or perhaps a drop down list, (Or whatever works! haha) They'll also answer a number of other questions. and when they click a submit button. It will close the window, and return that data. I'll then use the data received or stored to create my specific layout table.

Help please. I would love to show you the work that I have done, but sadly I don't know where to even begin. I've done some other research but nothing has surfaed much.

I'd love a simple sample if possible..if it's not too much trouble

Thanks in advance..and Kudos too

Re: Getting input from user received from a Pop-up dialog

Hi coilfyzx,

you can have a static reference in the invoking class.

public static setNumColumns(int numColumns){
this.numColumns = numColumns;
}

 Then invoke this in your pop-up screen.
