Getting started

I would like to start BlackBerry java development, but would appreciate some help in using the right tools.

I will be developing as much as possible from a Linux machine and IntelliJ.

I understand the simulators only run with Windows. If possible, I would still prefer to develop with Linux/IntelliJ, and then copy the resulting .cod file (and possible other dependencies) to a Windows machine for testing.

I tried the bb-ant-tools, but I'm not sure whether those are still up-to-date and also they seem to be dependent on the JDE, which does not seem to be further developed.

The Eclipse plugin should be prefered, but I do not prefer to use Eclipse. Perhaps, I could still use parts of this plugin from IntelliJ though.

Could somebody advice me what I should install?
