HTTP Connector.open() vs Blackberry Browser

Hello everybody,

Is there anyway to get a Connector object to use the same connection properties (deviceside etc...) as the Blackberry Browser is using?

I have a web page that I can connect to with the browser but not with "connection = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(URL);"

I receive the following message:

"java.io.InterruptedIOException: local connection timed out after ~ 120000"

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Re: HTTP Connector.open() vs Blackberry Browser

As far as I know, NO, you should manually specify deviceside and interface.

Even in browser you have to manually switch to WiFi browser.

To get the current coverage status you should use WLANInfo, CoverageInfo, RadioInfo and ServiceBook classes.

But maybe I'm wrong.
