Help me !Application Icon Problem.

I want to build only one release product for many blackberry screen type. I added all icon size of all screen type in app icon resource. What can app detect screen size and use a best fix icon size automatically ? Thanks very much ! Smiley Indifferent

The Display class will give you the height and width of the screen.

 

HomeScreen gives you the preferred size of the icon, and also allows you to update the icon.

In my application I do:

 

String device = DeviceInfo.getDeviceName();// eg 8330. ... if (device.substring(0, 2).equals("87")){ ... } else if (device.substring(0, 2).equals("83")){ ... } else if (device.substring(0, 2).equals("90")){ ... } ...

 

And set the images, distances between buttons, etc. based on the model.  That way you don't have to write code to figure it all out.
