can anyone tell me how I can define the connection type for playing a video stream?
I know that if I want to GET or PUT something I just have to append ";deviceside=true" etc. to the url,
but how does it work with rtsp urls?
Is it the same there? Do I just have to append the same strings to the rtsp url like this:
for get the stream via WLAN connection?
I did some Android programming in the past an there I don't have to take care of this because the OS decides which connection is used (by priority for ex. WLAN -> 3G ...).
I'd be very happy if someone can help me with that.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, the same parameters can be used for an RTSP connection. You can see a full list of transport routes available here:

Thanks a lot for your answer!
But somehow it doesn't work. I know my provider (Vodafone Germany) does not allow Streaming via mobile connections. But when I use the working rtsp url and append ";interace=wifi" to the url the player tells me he can't play the media ...
If I change the sim card and use the mobile internet connection the stream would work ...
But again not via wireless LAN ...
Do you know why WLAN streaming does not work in my case?
Thanks a lot!

What happens when you append interface=wifi? What BlackBerry Smartphone model and BlackBerry device software version are you testing on? You can find this under Options, About on the BlackBerry Smartphone.
When connected to WiFi, go to Options, Advanced Options, Browser and change the default browser to HotSpot. Once changed, turn off the mobile radio and try to open the RTSP URL in the browser. Is it able to play?
