How to click the MENU key

hi,

I'm using BlackBerry JDE 5.0, and simulator 9550.

in my application, I'm trying to click the menu key with following code.

EventInjector.invokeEvent(new EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent(EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent.KEY_DOWN,Keypad.map((char)Keypad.KEY_MENU), KeypadListener.STATUS_NOT_FROM_KEYPAD));
          EventInjector.invokeEvent(new EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent(EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent.KEY_UP,Keypad.map((char)Keypad.KEY_MENU), KeypadListener.STATUS_NOT_FROM_KEYPAD));

But I found it clicks the phone key instead,

Re: How to click the MENU key

hi,

override the following method

public boolean keyDown(int keycode, int time)
    {
        if (Keypad.key(keycode) == Keypad.KEY_MENU)
        {
            //your code
            return true;
        }
        else
            return false;
    }

Re: How to click the MENU key

I think this way would work.

But is there any easier way to do ? Because I can press the ESCAPE key with following code:

EventInjector.invokeEvent(new

  EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent(EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent.KEY_DOWN,
                             Characters.ESCAPE, 0));

Re: How to click the MENU key

Thanks. Seems 9550 is a serial with touch screen.

Re: How to click the MENU key

Solved this problem by changing to '(char)Keypad.KEY_MENU'. Smiley Happy
