Re: How to create a web launcher icon?

man.. you rocks! this code works (at least on the simulator) , I have to wait a few days until i receive my keys to signed it.

I test this under a Windows 7 runing Eclipse Java Plugin 1.1.2 / JDE 5.0 / Eclipse 1.2 (just downloaded from www.blackberry.com/developer the all in one download)

question.. how can I test under simulator to the device (simulated) connect to the internet using my network connection) ?

Re: How to create a web launcher icon?

please open a new thread for your issue.
it is very difficult to say what could be the issue for you, my crystal ball is in repair and you should probably show some code snippets and check the logfiles (alt+lglg)

Re: How to create a web launcher icon?

use application instead of uiapplication.
add a showBrowser(), just to be sure.

Re: How to create a web launcher icon?

The other thing I would try, is to let the Browser initialization actually complete before you pull the rug out from under it.  So start the Browser, then shutdown your application after a delay,  The user won't notice, because the Browser will take over the screen.

One way is to remove your System.exit(), start a Timer to run after 5 seconds, and in the Timer, exit the application.  By that time the Browser will be running OK.
