How to decompile *.cod Files

Hi there!

This might look to you like a stupid or kind of weird or even unusual question.

But due to the lack of time we have, I hope that one of you might be able to point me into the right direction.

However, ist the problem/issue I'm facing actually:

We have a few *.cod Files which one of our developers has written and compiled into cod-files.

Now he is unavailable for any of us and we need to modufy these files -- we just need to change the hardcoded IP-Adresses.

We can't find the binaries, as none of us has access to his local workstation.

Is there a way to decompile such *.cod files and if, HOW do I have to doi it?

The cod files are for the 8110 and the Storm BB!

I hope that you neither do mind nor wont be bothered helping me!

Regards and thanks a lot in advance

Re: How to decompile *.cod Files

Unfortunately you are pretty much out of luck, the only "real" decompilers for *.cod's are flaky and when they do work they spit out bytecode, not Java so simply changing an IP address will be more of an ordeal then you might think depending on the size of the application.

In other words you either want to try hard to find the guy or his computer because otherwise a complete rewrite might be a better idea.
