Re: How to detect "Message Rejected" while sending a message (Red X)

Also note that the BlackBerry Simulator supports simulating out of coverage situations.  To change this click on the Simulate menu and choose Network Properties...

Re: How to detect "Message Rejected" while sending a message (Red X)

OK, One sure shot way of getting the Red X while sending an email is as follows:

1. Open the messages application and create a new email message

2. Attach a file big enough to transmit (I used a 550 KB image)

3. Send (It will take more than 30 sec. to successfully send the email)

4. By the time, the email is being sent, go to the "Manage Connections" dialog box and turn data services OFF.

Congratulations !!  You have got a Red X in front of the email you were trying to send.

Re: How to detect "Message Rejected" while sending a message (Red X)

Another way is not to setup any accounts(BES & BIS) in the messaging application and try sending a message through your handheld.

If you want to simulate on an active device then reset the BES activation password and/or change the BIS account password and next try to send any message. You should be able to get a RED X for that message.
