How to find the center position on the screen!!

Hi,

I have been using absolute filed manager, where i have to insert a button on the center of the screen related to x position. But i m not able to find out the exact position interms of display width and image width. As i have to support lot of devices i m not able to figure out precise position. One thing i observe is image resolution changes from device to device.. that really is the culprit..  Can any one gyide me in the right direction!!

Re: How to find the center position on the screen!!

you can get the resolution using http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/device/api/system/Display.html#getHorizon...

maybe you can share the code you use?
I would just try Display.getWidth/2-image.width/2 for x.

you can use

( Diaplay.getWidth() - image.getPrefferedWidth() ) /2 ;

or

( Diaplay.getWidth() - image.getPrefferedWidth() ) >>1 ;
