How to get selected value from KeywordFilterField

Hi,

I use KeywordFilterField on popup. How can I read the value selected on KeywordFilterField?

Mine code:

_placeSelect = new Dialog(ResourceHelper.getResource(BiometeoResource.lbl_select_city), null, null, 0, null);

KeywordFilterField _keywordFilterField = new KeywordFilterField();
    			_keywordFilterField.setLabel(ResourceHelper.getResource(BiometeoResource.lbl_select_city));
_keywordFilterField.setSourceList(places, places);

_placeSelect.add(_keywordFilterField);
_placeSelect.doModal();

It should show popup with search KeywordFilterField (I dont't know why KeywordFilterField shows without text box above), and when user selects one opction from KeywordFilterField, the popup should close, how can I acheive this?

Re: How to get selected value from KeywordFilterField

Nobody? So maybe I'll put it another way. I've got huge list of elements to choose from what controlls can I use to make possible for user to choose options. It would be nice if this control could appear on popup.

Re: How to get selected value from KeywordFilterField

You need to implement navigationClick on your screen (or Manager, depending how you design the code).

Something like this:

protected boolean navigationClick(int status, int time)	{
		Field field = this.getLeafFieldWithFocus();
		if (field instanceof KeywordFilterField){
			KeywordFilterField subjectList = (KeywordFilterField) field;
			int index = subjectList.getSelectedIndex();

			Subject subject = (Subject) callBack.get(subjectList, index);

			//String string = subjectList.getElementAt(index).toString();

			Dialog.Info("You clicked: " + subject.getName());
			return true;
		}

		return super.navigationClick(status, time);
	}
