How are you ?
I'm trying to get textfields' height, but the returned value from getPreferredHeight is actually smaller than the actual size.
My textfield contains long string values including newline('\n'), but getPreferredHeight returns only one line sized height.
Do you have any other solution ?

Maybe try this to get the height of the font you are using - that will get you the actual content height of the textfield:

I am having the same trouble with getContentHeight() and similar functions returning 0. I need the metrics of the display and of the UI components in order to dynamically place the UI components so my app can adjust for various display sizes. How can I get these metrics before the rendering so I can place UI components properly? I am able to get the size of the Display with Display.getHeight() but that is all I am able to get.
