How to get the Mobile number of a contact from AddressBook.

Hi all,

        I am developing a SMS sending application. There  for the To field  I want to fetch the mobile number of a contact from the address book. I can able to open the AddressBook by using  the following lines of code.

BlackBerryContactList contactList = (BlackBerryContactList)PIM.getInstance().openPIMList(PIM.CONTACT_LIST, PIM.WRITE_ONLY);
                       contact = (BlackBerryContact) contactList.choose(null, Contact.EMAIL, true);

And also I can able to get  the all TEL numbers form the  contact. But  I  am not able to get the Mobile number of a contact. Can any one please help me  in this issue, can any one send some sample code for that.

 BlackBerryContactList contactList = (BlackBerryContactList)PIM.getInstance().openPIMList(PIM.CONTACT_LIST, PIM.WRITE_ONLY);
                                            contact = (BlackBerryContact) contactList.choose(null, Contact.EMAIL, true);

                            int[] fieldIds = contact.getFields();
                            int id;
                            String value = "";
                            for(int index = 0; index < fieldIds.length; ++index) {
                                id = fieldIds[index];
                                try{
                                    String  value1= "";
                                     int iMobileIndex = 0;

                                if(contact.getPIMList().getFieldLabel(id).equals("Tel")){

                                for(int j=0; j < contact.countValues(id); ++j) {

                                    if(contact.getPIMList().getFieldLabel(id).equals("Tel")){

                                         value = contact.getString(id, j);
                                        add(new RichTextField(contact.getPIMList().getFieldLabel(id) + "=" + value));
                                    }

                                }

On the Screen it is  printing like this

Tel 12345 ( may be work)

Tel 123456 ( may be home)

Tel 78393904 ( may be mobile)

from all this Tel numbers how to find the  actual mobile number.

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to get the Mobile number of a contact from AddressBook.

try {
BlackBerryContactList list = (BlackBerryContactList) PIM.getInstance().openPIMList(PIM.CONTACT_LIST, PIM.READ_WRITE);
contact = (BlackBerryContact) list.choose();
} catch (Exception e) {
}

int numValues = 0;
try {
numValues = contact.countValues(BlackBerryContact.TEL);
} catch (Exception e) {
}
for (int i = 0; i numValues; i++) {
if (getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_WORK) {
worknumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
} else if (contact.getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_HOME) {
homenumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
} else if (contact.getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_MOBILE) {
mobilenumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
} else if (contact.getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_OTHER) {
othernumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
} else if (contact.getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_PAGER) {
pagernumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
} else if (contact.getAttributes(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i) == BlackBerryContact.ATTR_FAX) {
faxnumber = getString(BlackBerryContact.TEL, i);
}
}

i wrote myself a wrapper class that reads all contact information.
