How to make a .jad file include dependencies?

Hey guys, I have been working on my first few apps and I wrote a Common library to assist. I am having issues getting it to include itself in the .jad and get errors about dependent modules not being installed. In the BB JDE I have project dependencies set. Do I need to do something else? I would love to avoid having to edit it by hand because then I would have to do that every time I build.

Thanks for the help!

Re: How to make a .jad file include dependencies?

My jads, that have dependencies, all have lines like:

RIM-COD-Module-Dependencies: net_rim_cldc,...

You could add your required cods in here, however I have found that these are added automatically.

You can use the updatejad command line tool included with the BlackBerry JDE to add your library JAD file entries into your main application JAD.  This tool is located in the bin directory of your installation directory.  You can also read more about JAD files here:

Re: How to make a .jad file include dependencies?

I have a question about updating the jad file. Does uninstalling an app loaded OTA uninstall the same way as when loaded by an ALX. When you install an app through the DM, if you added the library into the ALX file it prompts to uninstall the library as well (even if other apps still use that library), does and OTA/JAD install do the same thing?

Yes, the uninstall procedure should be the same.

Yes, I tested it out myself and did find that the uninstall is the same, sorry for not closing earlier.
