How to register or sign an app?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to BlackBerry development, and I've just developed my first app in J2ME.  The app is reading an XML feed to load news (it's very similar to the AP app). The problem is that when loading the app on my BlackBerry I'm constantly getting errors of connection (tunnel down, bad DNS, among others).  I've been searching the RIM and BB websites and I haven't found any specific way to register the app with BlackBerry, so that it will allow the connection.

Could anyone tell me what is the process I must follow in order to be able, or any useful forum or website I can check?  I would really really appreciate it; I'm extremely frustrated, since I dedicated a lot of time to the app, and it is looking very good, but can't seem to make it connect correctly.

Thanks,

Re: How to register or sign an app?

Hi,

did you already have success testing your app on device simulator using mds?

Are you developing a midlet or cldc application?

Have you had a look into application permissions under options->advancedoptions->installed applications (then see menu!).

Did you sign your application with rims signing keys already?

Regards,

Jochen
