How to select a connection type programmatically?


As we know, we can establish a HTTP or socket connection in five different ways; which is mentioned in this site: http://tinyurl.com/kw9qo
My doubt is:
1. Can a device support more then one types of network connection at a time.
2. How can I select programmatically which connection my application should establish.

i would suggest you take a look at this video, it is a more up to date source:

other then that most of the basics are already covered in your linked article. you can select the connection by adding a connection string like ';deviceside=true'

after the WES rim published a connection manager, i don't have the link to it ready right now though, maybe somebody can jump in with it?
