Re: How to sent the app to device from server through air.

Thanks RexDoug,

am working on 5.0, and when i build my app, the eclipse ide is generating only single cod file of size around 1.5MB. and am installing this cod file to my device using javaloader.

but when i try to download it thru OTA it is giving the error as "907 invalid cod unable to import zip file", when i point to the .jad file.

so is this error is because of the size limitations? can you tell me what are the steps i need to follow to fix this... what is the max size limit to download an app thru OTA?

Thanks!!!!!!

Thanks and Regards,
PraveenGoparaju.

Like I said on two previous posts, copy the big COD file to the ZIP extension, then unzip it.

You will see all of the individual COD files then. (cod-1, cod-2, etc)

All of the COD files, and the JAD file, need to be copied to your deployment server (in the same directory).

If you point the Blackberry Browser to the JAD file, the device will recognize the JAD and invoke the "dowload" process (assuming the MIME types are set correctly on the server).

Re: How to sent the app to device from server through air.

Make sure you DO NOT deploy the "big" COD file, only the smaller unzipped files.

Of course, there are *other* reasons for 907 error.  See the attached article.
