How to start Blackberry software developement...

Hello all,


I am newbie to Blackberry developement and looking for some guidance from you about.....how to start with Blackberry programming??


I have downloaded BlackBerry Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 ... Is this suitable for developing application like SMS send and SMS receive..??


plz suggest me the proper developement kit...

You have downloaded MDS Studio, which as far as I know, does NOT have the capability to send and receive SMS messages.


I would suggest you review the following Thread:



If you are already familar with Eclipse or NetBeans you might find those environments more useful.  If not, at risk of being flamed, I would suggest you download and install the JDE.
