How to zip the .txt file which i have on my sd card.

Hi All,

            I want to zip the .txt file send that file to server.

there is no api for zip, so you have to use a library.
search the forum for some references, it was discussed here afaik.

If you only have a single file, or if you are only sending one file at a time, then you should use GZIP, which is supported on BB and in fact uses built-in compression so is significantly faster than ZipMe.  Also GZIP is usually directly supported by web servers and since it is a stream protocol, you can pretty much stick GZIP in the processing and have the Web Server unzip it automatically making the whole compression processing invisible to external processing.
