Re: Image overlay on Video preview window - Camerademo sample.

This is very bad news for me. I looked at the BlackBerry documentation and committed to develop it to be like the rest of our applications on Android, iPhone and Windows Mobile. Spent a good deal of time as well.

But I have seen a few BlackBerry Application doing similar things with the viewfinder. Any idea how they managed to do it?

Re: Image overlay on Video preview window - Camerademo sample.

I would suggest giving it a try anyway just to confirm. However, it would be unfortunate for them to have something documented, tout it as a new feature of 5.0 and not have it implemented but it happens.

Try it and let us know. If it's not in then I would suggest filing an issue in Issue Tracker.
