Thanks for your ongoing advice, it is appreciated
I did actually try this but unfortunately there were thousands of differences so gave up. I think I'll just wait until RIM sort this out and provide a more "user friendly" solution.

Is it not possible for someone to help us out by downloading eclipse ,installs the latest java plugin within eclipse ,zip the folder then upload for us ?

crawling, nice idea. If only RIM would sort this out. As I've said before: the "BlackBerry Eclipse Plugin" is not a plugin if you HAVE to download and install their bundled version of Eclipse.
Has anyone managed to get this "plugin" working in the non-bundled version of eclipse?

you have to add what you need using update site - install new software -
I always install a lot of plugins into BB eclipse (Mercurial, EGit, Mylyn, ...)
it's a pain and hopefully RIM will decide to provide the Plug-In - from updatesite instead of full installation
... and hopefully they change some version ranges of plug-ins so they can be used from 3.6.2 and also 3.7 (of course at own risk)

I can't believe this garbage. I was just about to start on my first app only to find out I need to use your special eclipse bundle? Way to discourage new developers creating a ridiculous barrier to entry. I think I'd rather not waste my time. Pretty misleading calling that a "plugin".
