Installing an App FROM (not TO) an SD Card?

I've tried searching through the thread but am unable to find an answer to this. I know you're not allowed to install apps to an SD Card.

My question is - can I copy the app files onto my SD Card, load the card into my phone, browse the SD Card to the file location and then install the files from my SD Card onto the local device memory?

For example, I don't have internet connection or sideloading capability, so can I put the app installation files on the SD Card, and then install the app from the card onto the phone?

Re: Installing an App FROM (not TO) an SD Card?

Yes the procedure is really simple.

1 If the COD file is bigger than 64K (normally) you need to unzip it into multiple COD files. Use Winzip or RAR to unzip the COD file

2 copy all the COD files to the sd card in a folder

3 copy the JAD file to the same location

4 Run Files application on your BB and browser for the JAD file on the sd card and select it.  It will install the app

The important thing to remember is to unzip the COD (if needed) and have the JAD file in the same folder.

Thanks. That was perfect.
