In your case if you modifi any thing in second screen(it means top of the stack) and go back to first screen so you have to write that method in first screen if(attached) and one more thing this method is executed at the time of pushing also for suppose the above condition is true then you can override onExpose method also it will work when ever the screen regain the focus(i.e if it come back from any other screen).
