We have installed JDE 4.6 in windows vista and have set the Environment variables as mentioned below:
classpath C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11;
JAVA_HOME C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11;
path C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\bin;
We tried building the application and it got build sucessfuly ,The problem is when we tried opening the MDS-CS it just opened and with in seconds it closed it self. we have even tried changing the permisions for MDS-CS and it did'nt.

What do you see if you type "java -version" from a command line?
Try starting the MDS-CS Simulator from a command prompt by running the run.bat file. This should allow you to see any errors before the window closes.

Modify the run.bat file, removing the "start" command and its parameters (ie "start cmd /vn /c") and it should launch in the current DOS window instead of launching a new one.

That sounds like a Java environment issue. Do you have the 32 or 64 bit version of Java installed (assuming you are running Vista 64 bit)? A 32 bit JDK is required.

If you used the default install locations you can tell by that.
64 bit would install into C:\Program Files
32 bit would install into C:\Program Files (x86)
