JVM Messages at debug console

I have an application that loads certain data from a service, and displays the information into the screen, when the application is "idle" I see lost of the following messages in the console:

Is it commont to see this messages

VM:+GC(f)w=20

VM:-GCt=4,b=0,r=0,g=f,w=20

to appear every 1-2 seconds?

When this is displayed at the console I see a little clock in the application screen. Based in other post I assume this is due to the GC so I want to be sure if it's something wrong in my app (memory leak or something like that) or just to check if this is common.

Thanks for any help.

Re: JVM Messages at debug console

It is common to see this as this is what's going on in the background of the JVM while the phone is idle. The only way to know for sure is to have only your application on the device (which might be hard to do if it isn't exclusive to testing).
